Hello Spirit Lovers,

Well 2025 is disappearing in a blur nearly half way through the year and the Distillery and Tasting Room are still a hive of activity with lots of tourists still travelling around our beautiful island and lots of locals about enjoying this amazing Autumn weather!! 

There have been lots of events going on at the distillery this year raising funds for the local Shitbox Rally Teams that we are sponsoring, their was an hilarious sausage eating competition which raised $680 for the cause then a follow up event on Australia Day music and sausage sizzle event made an additional $400 and the sale of ‘Extinction Gin’ still sees all profits going to Cancer research. 

TrailGraze 2025 we welcomed back Tarkine Oysters and La Cantara Artisan Cheese to the distillery for an ever popular pairing of local produce and amazing Gin & Whisky!

Amazing Whisky Continues to flow

Whisky Fact. Did you know: To call a Whisky ‘Tasmanian Single Malt’ the entire process from making your wash, fermentation, distillation, maturation and bottling is supposed to happen on one site. 

Our beautiful ‘Exordium Series’ single malt single cask whiskies have continued to be well received in the Tasting Room with Exordium Series III our first Oloroso Cask selling quickly. Having filled some amazing PX Sherry Casks last week we have now filled 15 different cask types which will make for 15 very different Single Malt Single Cask Whiskies in the future. Series IV Tawny Port Cask will be joining us later this year …….watch this space

We still have a few bottles of our Series III Oloroso available so if you would like to secure a bottle drop me a note and we’ll ship it out to you!  

Alchemist Academy Cask Experience

Our unique Whisky making Experience has continued to be a stand out experience for our new Alchemists this year welcoming another 5 Whisky lovers to the distillery to make their very own Single Malt Whisky. Best friends Amy & Liv had a wail of a time and were, we have to say the, most efficient to date in making the whisky mash!!

Permission to Trespass  (PTT) Year 3 !!

July in Wynyard and Table Cape this year will see the 3rd year of Permission to Trespass (PTT) as our offering for the OffSeason this year will be bigger and better than ever with more unique experiences joining the festival from Lamas to Shed Choirs follow the link below for the full timetable of events.

Here at the Distillery we are doing Premium Whisky Tastings in the Distillery every Saturday & Sunday throughout July so you get to taste amazing Single Malt Single Cask Whiskies perfectly matched with small bites of amazing Tasmanian local produce, while hearing from MPH about the Whisky making process.
