At Alchymia Distillery we are all about sharing our passion and our knowledge with people who are passionate about small batch handcrafted spirits. As well as distillery tours and tastings we have designed a number of experiences that invite you to come behind the scenes for a more in depth and intimate look at how we create our beautiful spirits here on site. So if it is Gin or Whisky that you are interested in we have something for everyone.
Our Distillery Tours and Tastings are available every week and there is no need to book for this we are open to the public Friday – Sunday 12-4pm.
Whisky Experiences
‘Alchemist Academy Private Cask Experience’
This is our unique Whisky making experience and is booked out typically 4 months in advance so if you are interested in making you very own small batch Whisky and joining it on its journey throughout maturation please call Sarah on 0447 619 291 or email via info@alchymiadistillery.com.
‘Premium Whisky Tasting in the Bond Store’
We invite you into the ‘Bond Store’ to taste 3x small batch, handcrafted Single Malt Whiskies freshly plucked from the cask and matched perfectly with 3x amuse bouchées of local produce.
The owner and Head Distiller will chat about the amazing journey that these Single Malt Whiskies have been on from being made here on site with passion and love to the glass that you are holding in your hand.

‘The Distillers Bench’ @ Alchymia Distillery
‘The Distillers Bench’ is a unique and intimate behind the scenes experience you will get the chance to watch the head distiller MPH ‘mashing in’ the Whisky Wash from the ‘Distillers Bench’ while hearing the story of the whole process and his journey to becoming a distiller here in Tasmania. You will get to taste 3 x new make spirits of different ages and 1x Whisky so that you can taste the journey that new make spirit goes on to becoming Whisky once it is casked. Inc a light lunch of local produce. Please Allow 4-4.5 hours for the experience. Limited to 4 seats per session $195 pp

Gin Experiences
‘Let the Celebrations beGin’
Do you have a special day or celebration coming up? Love Gin? Alchymia Distillery invite you to create your own recipe Gin for your special day!! Imagine being able to share your very own Gin with your guests on your Wedding day or Special Birthday!!
This experience offers an initial consultation with the head distiller to discuss your flavour profile and botanicals. He will then produce 3 recipes for you to come back and taste and choose from….We will then produce, label and seal 10 x bottles of your favourite recipe ready for your big day!! Oh and you get to name your creation and this name will appear on your handwritten labels!!

‘Create your own bottle of Gin’
We invite Gin enthusiasts to make their own single bottle of Gin here on site you can join the distiller for 4 hrs and create your very own Gin recipe. You will be guided through botanical selection and then make your recipe then take a 500ml bottle of your Gin away with you on the day!
$195 pp allow 4 hours for this experience.

‘The Gin Station’ @ Alchymia Distillery
You are invited to join the distiller at his Gin station and understand the process of making Gin ‘one shot’ style.
Look smell and touch the botanicals that we use when making our range of Gins here on site.
Then be guided through a tasting of 3 of our Gins.
